In the Deglycyrrhised version of licorice root, the compound triterpenoid glycyrrhizin has been removed. This element is what causes the sweet flavour, but when used in excess it can cause side effects. Deglycyrrhised Licorice Root Extract is to be taken as 1-3 vegetable capsules a day, giving you all the benefits of this ancient botanical, without any of the side effects caused by glycyrrhizin
