The Discobolus of Myron (“Discus Thrower”) is a Greek sculpture completed towards the end of the hard time and depicts a youthful ancient Greek athlete who is approx. 460-450 BC Discus casts. The original Greek bronze is lost, but the work is known by numerous Roman copies, both full-surface in marble which was cheaper than bronze, such as the first to be restored, the Palombara Discobolus and smaller versions in bronze.
