Excellent source for hiding and protection of young fish, fry, shrimp as well as a good healthy food source. Shrimp love them.
I grow all of the moss used in my breeding tanks indoors and see pictures for more details. I produce the balls and allow them to begin growing before selling so if they are a bit to puffed, you can just take scissors and trim. Just put the trimming in your tank to grow. I also advise using a sponge filter since the single strands can get caught up in a mechanical filter and cause harm to the motor.
