With a typical strong peppermint odor, it is used in formulations for its analgesic, freshening and cooling effects.
Menthol crystals are naturally produced through peppermint essential oil extraction.
Use as as ingredient in cosmetic formulations such as: balms, salves, creams, gels, emulsions, emul-gels, toothpastes, foot sprays, shaving creams, compresses, muscle rubs
Recommended dosage 0,1- 1%, in general up to 5% for localized applications
In emulsions can be added in the oily phase but it is indicated to be added after the heating
